After School Enrichment
Enrichment classes
Solomon Schechter offers enrichment classes after school, from 3:30 – 4:30 pm, on a variety of topics.Over the years students have been offered classes in chess, Mah Jongg, knitting, sewing, French, Spanish, Chinese, cooking, art, dancing, Appalachian Mountain dulcimer, jewelry-making, Pa-Kua, and many more. SSDS staff and members of the community offer these classes for our students. A fee is charged for participation in these and, if applicable, a supply fee.

After School Activities
After school activities are also available through the Jewish Community Center and usually run from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
General After-Care
SSDS also offers general after-care daily from 3:30 – 4:30 pm for $3.00 an hour. This program is supervised by an educational professional and provides an opportunity for students to do their homework, have a snack, and play outside. The JCC provides after-care from 4:30 – 6:30 pm every day except Friday.
Students must be picked up from SSDS by 4:30 pm on Friday afternoons.
