Fine Arts

 

Solomon Schechter Day School has a fine arts teacher who meets with each class a minimum of one hour each week for instruction. Classroom teachers have the option of adding another hour of integrated art per week in an area they are studying. Students explore the arts, materials, techniques, qualities, characteristics and processes by using an inquiry-based approach. An ultimate goal of the arts program is to help students develop their own individuality and uniqueness, using the arts as a means to express their point of view.
