Curricular Goals
When Schechter students have completed their educations at SSDS, students will developmentally be able to:
- Communicate effectively through a variety of media.
- Read with fluency and full comprehension for information and for pleasure.
- Recognize and solve mathematical problems and apply basic operations.
- Understand the world around them and their responsibilities as good citizens.
- Know and appreciate the living world, the universe, and scientific research.
- Appreciate and contribute to the fine arts.
- Show strength in their commonalities and their uniquenesses, maintaining a strong sense of self.
- Enter any synagogue in the world and actively participate.
- Value and participate in the study of Torah.
- Understand the importance of good health, exercise, and good sportsmanship.
- Take risks in, love and enjoy learning.
- Be leaders within their community and work well with others.

- Use technology as a tool applied to all aspects of modern life.
