Fine Arts
The fine arts program at Solomon Schechter Day School includes visual arts, drama, and music. Students have the opportunity to participate in art and music each week.
Overall student goals for the fine arts program:
- Appreciating and respecting the arts of all cultures
- Developing essential skills and techniques in music and art
- Learning the vocabulary of music and art
- Applying different art techniques through a variety of media
- Developing an awareness of significant artists and musicians and their styles
- Understanding the inter-relatedness of art to all areas of life
- Expressing themselves through the arts
