Fundraising at Solomon Schechter
Solomon Schechter Day School depends on the generous support of the entire Jewish and Albuquerque community to make an excellent education available to all of our students. Tuition covers only part of the cost of a Jewish education and many of our students also receive financial aid. Our annual fundraising campaign raises well over $100,000 each year from our kind friends to make this possible!
A new "Family Leadership Circle" of donors was formed in 2005 to provide seed and matching gifts to kick off our annual campaign. Six families now provide annual gifts of $5,000 to $10,000 as part of this circle.
We also appreciate our many "Leader" donors, who give $1,000 or more per year - and the "Partners" who donate between $100 and $999. Finally, the school has many, many "Friends of Schechter" who give smaller gifts and attend our fun and exciting fund raising events - the Havdalah held each fall and our spring "Swing" dance.
