I hope by looking at the pictures and reading about what goes on in our classrooms, you can begin to get a feeling of what a special place Solomon Schechter Day School of Albuquerque is.
To fully understand how special Solomon Schechter is, however, I highly encourage you to come in for a tour! I love giving tours because I frequently hear people say something like "I had no idea Solomon Schechter was such a great school!"
When you visit you can hear the excited voices of children participating in class, see the smiles on their faces as they skip through the halls with their friends, look at displays of their fabulous artwork, writing, and other school work, and watch our animated and skilled teachers as they inspire learning in their students.
Elementary school is a key time for laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning and a strong Jewish identity. Solomon Schechter Day School of Albuquerque offers you the best of both worlds.
Time and again, I hear from parents about how well prepared they felt their SSDS graduate was for middle school and also about how strong their child’s Jewish identity remains
.Many studies have been done that consistently point to three key factors as being the most influential in determining the level of Jewish involvement a child will have as an adult: going to Israel, attending Jewish summer camps, and attending a Jewish Day School.
We are fortunate to have a Jewish Day School in the city of Albuquerque. I hope everyone in the community will make it a point to take a tour of the school to see what it has to offer your child, your grandchild, your neighbor, your friend, and your community. By sending your child here you are not only ensuring him/her a top-notch education, but also making the school strong for future students.
